What is a Hex Head Bushing?

Hex bushings are used to make female threads go from a bigger diameter to a smaller one. Hex bushings are threaded fittings with male threads on the outside and female threads on the inside. A hex head is used to tighten the fitting into the threaded opening. Sizes are Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) - size chart.
