What is a threaded tee?

A tee is a fitting with three ports, one inlet and two outlets, or two inlets and one outlet. It has two types, T type and Y type, with both equal diameter and different diameter ports, and is used for the confluence of three same or different pipelines. The main function of the tee is to change the direction of fluid flow. Threaded tees are connected with threads.

Threaded fittings are used in different industrial applications such as chemical processing, refinery, petrochemical, etc.
